State’s top hoopers on display Friday at Ridgeland

The best of the state’s high school basketball players will be at Ridgeland High School when the Mississippi Summer Showcase takes place Friday, July 22, 2011.

The gym will be loaded with Mississippi’s top basketball players from class of 2012 and 2013 as this event has been certified by the NCAA and over 100 major Division I College Coaches from around the country will be on hand to observe their talents. “This will be a very exciting day for the Jackson metro area and the state of Mississippi. You don’t often get a chance to see Mississippi’s top basketball players all together in the same gym the same day” said LeMond Roy, Event Organizer.

All games will be played at Ridgeland High School in Ridgeland, MS. The showcase kicks off Friday morning at 9:00 am until 9:00 pm. The event marquee game will be the Southern Phenoms verse the Mississippi Ballers Friday at 1:00 pm featuring the state’s top basketball player Devonta Pollard of Kemper Co. High School.

Reginald Patterson – Baldwyn High School
Javerick Burrell – Lanier High School
Marquis Vance – S.V. Marshall High School
Dennis Myles – Newton High School
Avery Woodson – Wayne Co. High School
Derek Scott – Forest High School
